About

A little about me.

A bit more on my background, what I work on, and what I spend time on outside of work.

I’m based in San Francisco and work in product, mostly around cloud and developer tools. I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make products simpler and easier to use for the people building and shipping with them.

Outside of work, I invest in and advise small businesses and startups at different stages in the U.S. and Asia. I like being around people building things from scratch and figuring out how something goes from an idea to something that actually works.

A lot of what I like, in product and outside of it, comes back to first-principles thinking: understanding how things work, where the real constraints are, and how businesses create value, serve customers well, and grow in ways that hold up over time.

Background

Where I come from.

I grew up between Taipei and Orange County, which gave me a mix of perspectives early on and made me comfortable moving between different environments.

I later earned a B.S. from UC Berkeley Haas, where I got more interested in the overlap between business and technology. I also spent a lot of time in tutoring, mentorship, and lab assistant roles, and stayed involved after college as a mentor in the undergraduate program through 2025.

In school, I was deeply into competitive math and community volunteering. That mix of analytical work and helping other people still shapes how I think about problems and how I like to work.

Outside of work

A few things I spend time on outside the day job.

Outside of work, I try to stay active and get outdoors when I can, whether that means hiking around the Bay Area, exploring new places, or just getting out of the city for a bit. I also shoot photography, mostly on Fujifilm, as a way to slow down and capture things that feel real in the moment.

I grew up playing sports and still play basketball and volleyball when I can. More recently I’ve also gotten into running and Barry’s. I like anime, especially Frieren and Your Lie in April. Lately I’ve been spending more time thinking about investing, real estate, and how people make long-term bets on places, assets, and businesses.
